At the World Travel Awards ceremony held in Mallorca on October 1, 2022, the city of Batumi in Georgia won prestigious nomination "The fastest growing tourist destination in Europe".
The WTA was established in 1993 to recognize, encourage and celebrate excellence in all sectors of the travel industry. So far, not a single casino in Batumi has ever been able to win a victory in the nomination “The Best Casino in Europe”.
This year the award went to the Fairmont Monte Carlo in Monaco. But next European ceremony might be held in Batumi, and then we'll see...
